It is intended to win all major pro slalom competitions this season. The sail features a refined shape with a sharp entry which reduces drag and improves lower end power as well as upwind potential.

The sail is engineered using a three cam design, but it is very easy to rig and operate. The increased luff curve creates higher body tension and provides improved stability and handling. Smaller sizes of the RS:Slalom MKIV use a shorter luff length which keeps the center of effort low and the draft stable in overpowered conditions. This feature, combined with the shorter boom length improves handling and allows the rider to perform any maneuver without effort. NeilPryde has introduced an innovative compact clew system improves overall maneuverability and stability. It allows the rider to use the maximum amount of energy the sail deploys without losing control.

The sail is kept stable at high speeds or in high winds by a solid seven battens skeleton. The NeilPryde RS:Slalom MKIV generates incredible speed and has a quick acceleration.
